3 weeks ago today I contacted Claudia's mum to discuss whether we should cancel her party that weekend but we all made a joint decision to go ahead with it, making sure we were all fit and well and washed our hands before, during and after the party.
Things changed very quickly during the following week, schools began closing and people told to work from home so this was the last event I delivered but I am soooooo glad Claudia got the 10th birthday party she had been dreaming of. This young lady, and her family, are a true inspiration!
When she was just 4 years old, Claudia lost her big brother George, who was 9, to cancer and since then has been fundraising for charities that are special to the family such as Derian House , Alice's Escapes and Littleprincesstrust. She has raised thousands of pounds and really is passionate about everything she does.
Her 10th birthday felt like somewhat of a milestone in her own journey and it certainly felt like George was there smiling down proudly on her. Mum showed me his Beads of Courage and all the family joined in with the party guests to make Angel Keyrings and dreamcatchers.
Looking back through the photos I'm so happy I made it to their house for such a fabulous party and I'm going to send Claudia a free suprise Angel Keyring kit so she can perhaps make more angels during her time at home, perhaps another fundraising idea for the future....ssssssshhhhh!
I've been fondly looking back on some party pictures today and found a little time to put together a few overdue party updates. It seems like ages ago now but I remember Amelie's 7th birthday party like it was yesterday and we had such a splendid time celebrating with close friends and family at her lovely house in Bolton. The highlight of their creations were their adorable Beadybod bag charms and I could tell everyone had a fab time choosing the best beads for them...and I could tell that some of the mums were itching to have a go too! I want to say a super big belated thank you for having me! #mrsbead ♥️♥️ ... See MoreSee Less
I'm still here! Alongside a big personal house renovation project I'm still busy beading and loving every minute of it! Here is a collection of stunning creations from this weekend over at Gargrave. Amelie and her friends were such talented designers and made some very professional jewellery and accessories. This was one of four parties this weekend and #mrsbead had so much fun! ♥️♥️♥️ ... Four parties this weekend and lots of gorgeous beady creations including these beauties which were made by Jessica and her favourite friends on Saturday in Clitheroe. I adored their beaded mermaids and sophisticated headbands and everyone used jewellery making pliers to piece them all together themselves...what a wonderful party! Thanks for sharing your special day with me ♥️ #mrsbead xx ... See MoreSee Less
