May 2015 has been a very exciting month for Mrs Bead who has been catching the attention of a few local magazines! It has meant taking part in two photo sessions (and I am not the best at posing) and I am now looking forward to the publication of the two features – one in Lancashire Life magazine and the other in Lancashire’s Business Life magazine! It is great that the press are keen to write about small local businesses and I hope that this will generate even more interest in Mrs Bead jewellery making workshops and bead craft parties for children in Lancashire and Yorkshire.
I was over the moon when Clitheroe Library got in touch to ask if Mrs Bead would like to run a beading session in their community space upstairs. I jumped at the chance and suggested that bookmark making would be the perfect session to run in library and it appeals to all ages and both genders. I love how the beads and charms you can choose can reflect your own personality and tastes and you can even add your name with alphabet beads! I know it’s going to be great fun and I love books almost as much a I love beads! Here’s some we made earlier at Amelia’s Mrs Bead birthday party in Barnoldswick, Lancashire..
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 17,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Great jewellery made at Emily’s 13th birthday party, the girls chose to make beaded charm bracelets and earrings.
Great to have the local rag round for an interview about the successful 1st year of trading for Mrs Bead! Makes me feel slightly famous! Thanks to everyone (especially my family) for all their support!
This Halloween, is was double the fun for Beth from Clitheroe who celebrated her 6th birthday with a Mrs Bead party. The boys who came along really enjoyed creating jewellery using eco friendly wooden beads and noone could resist the special howlite skull beads with it being an especially spooky day!
All the family (including Dad!) had a go at beading at Isla’s birthday party in Earby, Lancashire.
Great day at Waddington Social Club this Saturday for Alisha’s birthday party.
